Proverbs 28:1

When you come into game day, are you confident or fearful?  Do you run to the field with great expectation or run away with great anxiety?  How do we put away our apprehension and take on boldness?

In the book of Proverbs at Chapter 28 and verse 1 it says, "The wicked flees though no one pursues, but the righteous are a bold as a lion."  There are lots of teams that come to play in an opponent's home arena and tremble.  Lots of players from other teams flee though no one is chasing them.  We need not do so.

It says that the righteous are as bold as a lion.  We'd all like to have that kind of courage and unshakable confidence.  I want you to know that it's attainable through loving God.  That's where being righteous comes from.  Our relationship with God makes us righteous and that results in a quiet, strong confidence in any situation.

Let's compete with a quiet, strong confidence today.  Let's be like lions prowling across the field of competition.  Who knows, maybe the home folks will start running away?
